11 May 2018
The following statement is modelled on the Privacy Statement of the Small Charities Coalition, available on line and takes into account the General Data Protection Regulations, which come into force on 25 May 2018. Preservation of your privacy is important to NAPE and we are committed to letting you know how we use your personal information and to making only responsible use of your data.
1. Information about you
We will collect personal information from you when you or your organisation enquire about our activities, register as a member with us or subscribe to one of our services. This may include your name, title, email address, physical address, telephone numbers and job title. We may also ask for some additional, non-personal information.
2. Our use of this information
2.1 Your personal information will only be used to process your requests, to provide you with our services, and to provide you with information relating to our services and all other services which we think you may be interested in.
2.2 We will only share relevant information relating to your address with the company responsible for the distribution of the NAPE journal, Primary First. No other third party will be in receipt of any information you have provided.
2.3 If you opt for joint membership with NATE, then relevant information relating to contact address and professional status (if applicable) will be shared across the two associations.
2.3 We will only retain this information for as long as you retain an association with NAPE.
2.4 Our use of your information is legitimate insofar as it is restricted to providing a service which we believe will be of benefit to you and will not be made available to any other party, apart from the company distributing Primary First.
3. Security
3.1 We will take reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of information you give us.
3.2 Communications in connection with this service may be sent by e-mail or letter or may in the case of general notices be incorporated into our website at www.nape.org.uk. Whilst we endeavour to keep our systems and communications protected against viruses and other harmful effects, we cannot bear responsibility for all communications being virus-free.
4. Other information
4.1 If you would like us to correct or update any information, or if you would like information deleted from our records, then please email us at nationaloffice@nape.org.uk
4.2 In line with our commitment to keep under review all procedures relating to the privacy and security of data communicated to us by our members, this privacy policy may be updated in due course.
4.3 Our website may contain links to other sites. While we try to link only to sites that share our high standards and respect for privacy, we are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices employed by other sites. This privacy statement does not cover the information practices of those websites or advertisers.
